the closest international airport to playa del carmen is cancun (CUN), approximately 45 minutes to the north of playa. for current airfares, view our RSS airfare feed for select major cities into cancun. your options to arrive at villaModerno in playa del carmen from the airport are as follows:
  • rent a car - exit the airport and take the federal highway #307 south to playa del carmen, turn left on constituyentes, turn right on avenida 15, turn left on calle 12.
  • hail a taxi - many taxi's and shared vans are available for booking at the airport, or you can hire one ahead of time. instruct the driver to take you to the corner of avenida 15 and calle 12.
  • take the bus - there is a bus that departs from the airport and goes to the main bus station in the heart of playa. from there, walk north on 5th avenue, turn left on calle 12 and proceed to avenida 15, villaModerno will be on your right.
